Magic of Christmas

Happy Tuesday friends!  I hope you are having such a great day.  Happy Hanukkah for those that celebrate that.  Also, it is getting close to Christmas if you celebrate that.  Today I am sharing a Christmas card.

I was feeling pretty brilliant when I made this card.  I thought the card itself was the present, lol.  And it is so pretty patterned red paper and shiny green accents, very traditional colors.  There is more, but you are gonna have to wait for it.

To make the front, I used this patterned DP, and die cut it with Lift The Flap slimline die to, the biggest die, to create the peek-a-boo window.  I mounted it on the front using foam tape. Then I used the Slimline Stitched Strips set to create a ribbon effect with shinny green cardstock. Then I used the Bunch of Bows die to create the lovely bow in the front.  It helps to use your bone folder to round them prior to adhering the layers together. I stuck it all down so it looked like a Christmas present.

But there is even more marvel on the inside, so check this out.

For the inside layer, I used distress inks to create a gradual night sky with my Blending Buddy, Broken China, Stormy Sky and Sapphire. On that I stamped the image from Christmas Magic Slimline Stamp using Ink on 3 Hybrid Blackout Ink.  I used versamark and embossing powder from Wow for the other parts.  Gold for the stars and white for the words and snowflakes.  The top portion is actually a piece of Navy Cardstock.  In addition to the snowflakes, I added white splatters for an extra snowy effect.

I think it is a pretty lovely scene and no gift necessary with this card, the gift is the card!  I hope you like it and agree.  Thanks for visiting me!
