A Card for the Greatest Mom

Hi there! Silvia’s here with you today and I’d like to share with you a card for the greatest mom.

I started cutting a 5,75″x4,5″ panel from white cardstock and I started creating my background stamping the word “mom” with three different fonts and in three different colors. I used some water reactive inks in purple/plum, vintage pink and a mint green and the “Simply Sentimental – Mom” stamp set.

I darkened edges with vintage photo Distress Oxide ink, I splattered with clean water and I used the heart stencil from the “Checkered Background Add-on” set to apply some scorched timber Distress Oxide ink here and there.

I also darkened edges rubbing scorched timber Dsitress Oxide ink directly around them.

I then die cut  from colored cardstocks a beautiful wreath and some flowers using the “Holiday Wreath Circle Card Add-on” and the “Garden Flowers” die sets.

I put them together with liquid glue and I splattered everything with white and gold acrylic paints (I used antique bronze Distress Paint and the Splatter White Opaque watercolor).

Next I heat embossed in white the word “mom” and a sentiment from the “Simply Sentimental – Mom” stamp set on brown cardstock and I cut them with coordinating dies.

I put everytihing together with a mix of liquid glue and foam tape.
