Mom You Are My Hero
Hello, crafters!! Brenda here with a card that would be perfect for Mother’s Day or anytime you’d like to tell your mom how much you admire her!! My mom is definitely my hero!! Her strength amazes me every day!!
I began by die-cutting a panel of yellow cardstock with the largest die in the A-2 Clean Cut Layers Rectangle Set A Die Set and two panels of white cardstock with the second largest die in the same die set. One of the white panels was die-cut with the A-7 Diamond Eyelet Background Die. The panels were layered and adhered together with liquid glue.
Next, I stamped the Sketchy Florals Stamp Set with Copic-friendly black ink and colored it with Copic markers, then cut it out with the Coordinating Die. I added dots to the centers of the flowers with a yellow gel pen. The floral was cut and adhered to the top and bottom of the panel with liquid glue.
The sentiment was created with the Simply Sentimental: Mom Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies. The top layer of “Mom” was die-cut once from berry cardstock and twice from heavyweight white cardstock. The shadow layer was cut three times from heavyweight white cardstock. The layers were stacked and adhered together with liquid glue. The sub-sentiment was white heat embossed onto a strip of berry cardstock and adhered with foam squares.
Purely White Heart Baubles were the perfect finishing touch.
