Sweet Sips

Hello there, Christine here with a shaped shaker card using the Summertime Sips die set to create a super fruity lemon strawberry smoothie. I used the Slimline Space Swirl 6×9 3 piece stencil to create the fruity concoction and a cute little unicorn from the Let The Good Times Roll stamp & die set to finish it off!

Let’s start with the shaped card base.  I folded an 11 inch by 4.25 inch of heavy cardstock (Neenah solar white 110 lb cardstock) in half and placed the top part of the drink container slightly off the top of the card as seen below (teal arrow). I did partial die cutting and cut only up to the bottom edge.

Then I placed the bottom part of the drink container and only die cut up to the teal arrow (again do partial die cutting).  I had to fussy cut part of the card base so it fit with the actual pieces of the drink that I glued on top.

Then I die cut one large drink piece out of light yellow vellum and ink blended kitsch flamingo and spun sugar distress oxide inks onto it with the Slimline Space Swirl stencil as shown below.  You have to go over the areas multiple times to make it smooth and seemless.

I die cut a straw and the drink components multiple times out of acetate, blue vellum and cardstock to create the shaker component of the card.  I added a few strawberry embellishments and some ice cubes die cut out of regular vellum and then closed up the shaker component with a large acetate piece.

Finally I added the unicorn that I die cut from the Let The Good Times Roll stamp & die (colored with W0, W3, R20, BG11 and Y23 copics) with a little glitter paste on the horn at the top and a hello die cut from the Hello Bootiful die set (also painted with glitter on top) to finish the card off.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
