Sending You Love and Happy Thoughts

Hello and happy Friday!! I hope you have some fun plans for the weekend!! Hubby & I are heading to our lakehouse!! He’s going to help a neighbor work on his dock and I’m taking plenty of crafty things to work on!!

I have a happy, rainbow card to share today. Instead of opening in a traditional way, there is a smaller, folded card attached to the front of an ink-blended and glittered panel. Just a little something different!!

I started by stamping the Love and Happy Thoughts stamp set onto Bristol Smooth Cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I scribbled on rainbow colors of Karin Pro Brush Markers and blended them with water and a paint brush. I die-cut the panel with the stitched die in the Slimline Frame & Fold Die.

On another panel of Bristol, I ink-blended Distress Oxide Inks through the Heartburst Stencils with Blender Buddy Brushes. I used Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Salty Ocean and Wilted Violet. I also spread Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste through the first stencil. After it was dry, I lined up the second stencil and spread the paste through it. (Please note…when you apply glimmer paste through the second stencil, you may have a little bleeding. The first layer of paste will keep your stencil from laying perfectly flat.) Once the second layer was dry, I trimmed the panel and adhered it to a black A2 size panel.

Using the Slimline Frame & Fold Die Set, I cut the small cardbase from black cardstock, folded it and adhered the stamped panel to the front, then adhered that to the glittered card panel. I die-cut another panel from Bristol with the stitched die in the Frame & Fold Set to add inside the card for a place to write your message. I used one of the stencils in the Layered Heart Set and the same Distress Oxides that I used on the front to add a rainbow heart and adhered the panel to the inside of the black card.

I plan to write my message over the ink-blended heart!!

Thanks so much for spending a bit of your day with me!! Have a wonderful weekend and I’ll see you soon!!!

Brenda
