Mid-month Trinity Creativity challenge post!

Hello everyone!!

Welcome back to the Trinity Creativity Challenge! This is our mid month post, if you missed the first one, click HERE to check it out.

Today I have a card to show you that’s based on our mood board, as that’s our theme this month. As a reminder, this is it:

It shouldn’t come as a surprise my card is a floral one, given how many lovely flowers are in the photos. I have used the fun Bouquet Of Hope stamp set and used the white frame on the mood board as inspiration. As well as yellow as my main colour. Which is another challenge for me, as yellow is not my favourite colour.

On a panel of Copic friendly card stock, I stamped the image and coloured it in with my markers. On her dress, I stamped a few flowers to add some interest, but kept these white, except for the middle which are dark yellow.

The dress itself I coloured in an ombré way but the belt and the skin, I kept white. The only other colour I added was a little bit of yellow-green to the stems and some leaves.

To finish it off, I added the panel to a card base. Then I cut out a frame and the word ‘smile’ out of white card stock. The frame I added to the card directly, as it is. On the ‘smile’ diecut I blended some Mustard Seed Distress Oxide ink, which you can buy as a single or the bundle. The blending is done with a blending brush to give a really soft look. When that was done, it was a simple case of adhering it and the card was done!

Did you all catch this gorgeous card our own Jeannie Lieu made? She used the mood board as inspiration and oh my gosh, I’m swooning! Such a stunning creation.

Speaking of gorgeous spring flower creations, check out this card by Brenda Noelke. Can we all say ‘WOW’?? If you want to check out these in more details, they are both up on the Trinity Blog.

Now it’s time for you guys to get inspired and get in your craft room. We can’t wait to see what you will come up with! Make sure to link up your projects in the InLinkz in the first post, which you can find HERE.

Thanks for stopping by today. Lots of love and happy crafting from Erica and the Trinity Team!
