Love you so very much – a sneak of the January 2020 release

Hi Everyone, Mirella here, and I am super excited to be writing my very first post as a Trinity Stamps Creative Team member! I have been working with Taniesa’s products for a while now, and have always enjoyed them a lot, so you can only imagine how happy I am to be here.

Today, I am sharing with you a slimline card for a loved one – I’d say it would work equally well for your other half as for a friend/child. As long as they like pink 😉

The idea behind the card was to have the two cute monsters (which will be released tomorrow) hold the “love you” die cut like a little banner. It worked perfectly for the slimline format, as there’s no chance that these would fit on a standard A2 card.

I used Distress Oxide inks and the fantastic Trinity “Blending Buddy” brushes to create my background. I then used the Scenic Border Die Set for the grass (note how I didn’t cut the grass all the way to the edges? That was intentional!), and tucked the coloured & die cut monsters behind it, in order to create some dimension.

Once the “love you” die cut and the monsters were in place, all that was left to do was to add the remainder of the sentiment (for which I used Hello Sweet Friend), and the embellishments.

For some additional interest, I also added a glittery frame (also cut with a die from tomorrow’s release), and had the background splattered with clear water & some metallic paints – but the splattering was done before any of the images were adhered, of course.

When mounting the panel on the card base, I opted to leave some white space above and below it, for some additional visual interest.

What do you think? I have to say, I’m pretty chuffed with how it turned out. If you would like to see all of the supplies used to make this card, head over to my blog.

That’s it from me for today! Come back tomorrow for the big release – there will be plenty of fantastic new products available in our shop, and we’ll also be celebrating with a Blog Hop, full of amazing inspiration and prizes!
