Congrats, GRAD Shaker Card!!
Hello Crafty Friends!!
Larissa here today with a SWEET Graduation Shaker Card!! I don’t know about you, but it doesn’t seem possible that Graduation is HERE already!! Where did this School Year go!!?? I have a Niece Graduating College and she’s in Chi Omega so I KNEW I wanted to create something EXTRA SPECIAL!! I decided to in cooperate the Chi Omega Colors of Cardinal and Straw as well as the Owl Mascot and I just LOVE how this turned out!! I hope this will INSPIRE You to get CREATIVE and look through your Crafty Stash to pull things together to create something PERSONALIZED and EXTRA SPECIAL for these ONCE in a Lifetime Events!!
I Started by Creating the Background Panel for my Shaker Card!! I Die Cut the Rectangle using the Modern Embossed Rectangle Stack Die Set from some White Cardstock!! Then I Inked with some Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Ink to create a Spotlight for the Owl Image to go!! Then I Inked with some Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink towards the bottom of the Panel to ground the GRAD Letters were going to add!! I added some Water Splatters as well as some Fossilized Amber and Salvaged Patina Distress Spritz Splatters for some added Sparkle and Shine!! I finished off the panel by adding some Black Soot Distress Paint Splatters!!
Next I Die Cut an Acetate Window using the same Modern Embossed Rectangle Stack Die and then I Stitched around the edges of 3 of the sides using my Sewing Machine!! I added the Shaker Embellishments I’ve used the Gold Star Flat Confetti, Bokeh Heart Flat Confetti, Red Sparkle Heart Confetti and the Shaker Pop Matte Bathwater!! Then I Stitched the last Edge Closed!! SQUEAL!! If you follow me then you KNOW Shaker Cards are my FAVORITE!! They just make me HAPPY and I just KNOW that my Niece is gong to LOVE this too!!
Next I Stamped and Embossed the SWEET Owl Image from the Hoot Hoot Hooray Stamp Set!! I Stamped on White Cardstock using Versa Fine Black Onyx Ink and Embossed with WoW Clear Gloss Embossing Powder!!
Then I colored with Copic Markers!!
Brown: E40, E43 & E47 Pink: RV11 Orange: YR00, YR18 Red: R14 Grey: N0, N3 & N5
Then I used the coordinating Hoot Hoot Hooray Dies to Die Cut the Images out!!
I Die Cut the “GRAD” Letters using the Modern Embossed Alphabet Die Set from some Yellow Plaid Pattern Paper as well as some Yellow Cardstock!! I Cut them out 4 Times from Yellow Cardstock and adhered them together to create thicker Letters!! Then I adhered the Patterned Paper Letters on top!! I adhered them to my Acetate Shaker Window using some Bling Zots Adhesive Dots!! Then I Stamped and Embossed the Sentiments from the Smarty Pants Stamp Set onto White Cardstock using Versa Fine Black Onyx Ink and WoW Clear Gloss Embossing Powder!! I then used the coordinating Smarty Pants Die Set to Die Cut the Sentiments out!!
(TIP: You can EASILY use only a Portion of a Sentiment by using your Scissors to Cut the Sentiment down!! I wanted just the “CONGRATS” so I Cut it down and I LOVE that you can personalize them so easily!!)
I adhered the Sentiment to the Acetate Window using more Bling Zots!!
Lastly, I Die Cut the Red Glitter Cardstock Flowers as well as the Green Cardstock Leaves using the NEW Easter Basket Add-on Die Set!! I added some Luminous Lemon Baubles to the Center of the Flowers and then I adhered them to the Card!! SWOON!! I think they add that PERFECT touch of Femininity and help with even more Sparkle and Shine!!
For the Inside of the Card I adhered the “You Did It!” Sentiment!! I left plenty of room so I can add a personalized Message, but you could add another Glitter Flower or more to dress it up if you feel like it needs a little more Sparkle on the Inside of the Card!! 
So there you have it a SWEET Graduation Shaker Card that I personalized SPECIAL for my Niece!! I hope this INSPIRES You to create a Card for that Graduate that will bring a SMILE to their Face on such an EXCITING Day of Accomplishments!! I LOVE how it turned out and how EASY it is to shop your Stash to pull things that will work together to create something PERSONALIZED for the Recipient!!
