Wish You Were Here!!

Hello Crafty Friends!! 

Larissa here today to share a BEAUTIFUL Die Cut Rainbow Winter Forest Half Front Flap Card!! I LOVE to create unexpected Card Designs and this one has a Half Front Flap that opens to the inside of the Card!! PERFECT for placing a Gift Card, or some Money!! The Slimline Forest Border Die Set is such a VERSATILE Set!! So many possibilities!!
Let’s get started!! 

I Started by Die Cutting the Card Panel using the Modern Embossed Rectangle Stack Die from some White Cardstock!! Then I used the Puffy Cloud Layers Stencil and Inked with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink to create my Inked Sky!! I only Inked Half of the Panel to leave the bottom of the inside of the Panel Clean!! 

Next I Die Cut the Slimline Forest Border Die Set  from Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue and Purple Cardstocks!! I inked each of the Forest Die Cuts with coordinating Distress Oxide Inks to make them POP!! I used Aged Mahogany, Crackling Campfire, Rusty Hinge, Forest Moss, Peacock Feathers and Wilted Violet!! Then I adhered the Forest Border Die Cuts together to create the Half Front Panel Flap!! In order the keep the Inside of the Panel Clean I adhered a piece of White Cardstock and created a Side Hinge in order for the Panel to swing open!! 

Then I Stamped and Embossed the “Wish You Were Here” Sentiment from the A Sentiment for (almost) Everything Stamp Set on the bottom of the Forest Border Half Front Panel Flap!! Stamping with Versa Mark Ink and Embossing with WoW Embossing Powder in Bright White!! Then I added some Adhesive to the Tops of the Forest Borders and added some Distress Rock Candy Glitter for some Sparkle and the look of Snow on the Trees!!

I just LOVE the way it turned out!! Then I adhered the Hinge to the left side of the Card Panel and firmly pressed it into place!! I finished off the Card by adding some Picket Fence Distress Paint Splatters and some Fairy Rocks Rhinestones that coordinated with different colors of the Cardstock when moved in the Light!! 

I hope I’ve INSPIRED you today with the possibilities of the NEW Slimline Forest Border Die Set!! Think outside of the box and remember that the Slimline Dies are PERFECT for so many different Card Sizes!! I also LOVE the idea of using different Colors of Cardstock to create different moods for your Cards/Scenes!!
