Head First!

Happy Sunday Friends!  Katie here.  I know that some of you are big Halloween fans and honestly, Thanksgiving doesn’t get a lot of glory, but Christmas is really my jam and I am ready to dive head first into the season!

…and, it seems as though Santa feels the same!  See, I wasn’t joking….

Today my card features the new Stuck Santa Die Set.  This set is so fun and silly, I love it!  Here is how I made mine.

First, I die cut the different elements in different colors.  Red CS for Santa’s Suit, a bit of black and gold too, white for everything else.  For the parts that have some embossed edges (like the chimney), I ran them through again with a squishy pad to add the lines.  For the chimney, I used my Blending Buddy and Fired Brick and Mahogany Distress Oxide for color.  I used a white paint pen to add some grout and then sprayed it with white distress spray.  For the highlights on the snow, I used a Copic BG10 to add a little color.  I popped that out on the chimney using foam tape.  Next, I die cut the white portions in white felt so it would be fuzzy.  I put Santa all together and used Copics R39 & 37 to add some shading.  Once it was all together I mounted it on my DP paper, which is a sheet of snow flurry filled paper from the Holiday Trimmings Slimline Paper pack, cut to 4 X 5.25.  I mounted that on white.   Finally, I stamped the sentiment form the on Holiday Tweets Stamp Set on white and cut it using the banner from the Mini Slimline Card and Envelope Die set.

Pretty fun right?! I think so and hope that you agree. I plan to have another fun card using this stamp set in the very near future, so stay tuned…. 😉

Thanks for visiting today. Head to the shop to pick up your own Stuck Santa set if you feel as excited about Christmas as I do!
