Stamping Together: Under the Magical Sea

Hello Friends and Happy Monday! My crafty kiddo and I had a blast Stamping Together this month creating magical under the sea cards with the Oracle Octopus stamp set and the Scenes from the Sea Stencil set

The Kiddo’s Card

The pops of paper kiddo worked her magic with purple Nuvo alcohol ink markers and used blending brushes to create her stenciled background with Wilted Violet, Twisted Citron & Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Inks.

And in the Jr. Designer’s words:

“Your fortune looks bright. I created this by stamping an octopus onto a card base. I colored it different shades of purple. On her staff I colored it green and blue. My mom helped me cut it out. I used a under the sea stencil on a card base. I used blending ink that was purple and green for the seaweed. I embossed a sentiment silver. Then I popped up the octopus. I put some seashells and bubbles on my card. Last I put something inside her crystal ball. Check out my moms card that she made.”

The Adult Kiddo’s Card

For my card, I stamped the image with VersaFine Clair Ink in Nocturne on Smooth Bristol and used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to watercolor the Oracle Octopus in pretty blues, teals and greens. I ink blended the seaweed and ocean floor background using the Scenes from the Stencil stencil set with Mermaid Lagoon and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Ink with my trusty blending brushes.

The kiddo and I added a little extra pop by added the floating bubblers, seashells and star embellishments to our projects. A card is never complete with a few little extra pieces of card bling and this is what we used:

To complete the cards, we heat embossed our sentiments to the base of the card using white and silver embossing powder.

And there we have it friends, two magical under the sea cards stamped together with love and fun in the craft room! We hope you enjoyed our projects today!
