Stamping Together: Embellishment Reindeer SLIME!!

Hello Friends and Happy Monday! Welcome to Stamping Together; a monthly Mom and Daughter Duo post. One of the best things about stamping and card making, is sharing this creativity with my nine-year old daughter (the Pops of Paper Kiddo). I let her pick the idea & Trinity Stamps Product and we laugh and giggle our way to a few project to share with you. We hope you enjoy our creative adventures!

This month we are sooooooo excited to share with you Embellishment SLIME!!! The kiddo LOVES watching slime videos so we decided to mix-up our first batch.

The packaging we used to contain our slime is a great last minute stocking stuffer, quick kiddo gift or just some fun slime to help with all those stressful holiday jitters.

Since this was our first time making slime, we used the basic recipe:

  1. 12 fluid oz of Clear Glue
  2. 1-½ TBSP Baking Soda
  3. 3 TBSP of Contact Lens Solution
  4. A couple drops of Peppermint Essentials Oil
  5. Peppermint Mocha Embellishments
  6. Candy Cane Embellishments

In a medium size bowl, we added the glue and then the baking soda. Then we added in the essential oil and after mixing we added the contact lens solution and mixed and mixed and mixed until it came together. Then we kneaded the slime and added more contact solution once we liked the consistency…throughout we added some peppermint mocha embellishments. After we played with the SLIME, we added it to the circle container and added a candy cane embellishment to finish the slime.

For the Slime Topper we used Seasonal (mini) Cup Decor & More Die Set and the Greetings of the Season 3×4 Stamp set

I’ll let the kiddo explain how we created the complete Reindeer Slime Package:

Happy Holidays! I made this cute reindeer topper for my peppermint slime. I die cut the reindeer and colored it brown for the face and gold for its antlers. I picked out medium eyes and a red sparkly nose. I chose a glitter paper and a checkered paper to put some bling into the reindeer topper. This was so cool because I love slime and embellishments, so I was happy to mix both of those things together. That is how I made the reindeer topper for my peppermint slime.

We hope you enjoyed our Stamping-Slime Making project and it inspires you to use your embellishments in fun new ways!! It’s always the best time to create together and we’re so happy we can share our projects with you! Happy Holidays!!
