#spreadjoynotgerms Blog Hop!

Hello Friends!

Thank you so much for stopping by for a little Trinity Stamps joy! You should have arrived here from the blog of the lovely & talented Jessica McAfee however if this is your first stop along the hop, or you get lost you can pop over to the Catherine Pooler blog where everything kicks off!

Today I am joined by our assistant design team manager, Amanda Wilcox. She has an adorable card to share with you and then I have a few cards and envelopes to share with you using the Trinity Stamps Slimline dies! Let’s take a look at what Amanda has for us today…

To make this fun card I just blended a couple of panels with distress oxides for an evening lagoon scene and spritzed them with water. I used the slimline scene border dies to cut some water and mud from two of the inked panels. I stamped my images from Hugs & Squishes and So Appreciative, colored them with copics and used the coordinating dies to cut them all out. I glued the largest panel on the card front, popped the smaller water panel up with foam tape and then also popped the mud panel up with foam tape for extra dimension. All of my images are adhered with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape.

For finishing touches I added white gel pen accents to the images and black glaze pen to all the critter eyes. Then I put some Crushed Pineapple Stickles on the firefly butts so they would glow and glossy accents to the sea monster and lily pad. Last, I added Wink of Stella glitter brush pen to the I Appreciate You sentiment.

Thank you so much for sharing your adorable squishy card, Amanda!!

Trinity Stamps Slimline Envelope builder die set has many different uses!

Today I would like to share with you some mini cards as well as show you how our new Slimline Envelope Builder die can be used to make envelopes for our smaller 3×4 frame and fold card, 4-bar cards, and more. I will show you how to get two-for-one cards and envelopes saving you a bunch of time. Plus I have a card using a brand new 3×4 stamp set, Happy Hour! This stamp set is special as 100% of the profits are going back into our industry to help those stores affected by the closures. To read more and see the stamp set click HERE.

To make these two smaller cards above I used the Trinity Stamps Frame and fold die, Slimline series: stitched die set, our brand new So Appreciative stamp set, Nested Hearts die set and the Slimline envelope builder die set.

I started with two pieces of 140# watercolor cardstock that I had cut using the stitched 3×4 rectangle from the Frame and Fold die set. I stamped the “I Appreciate You” Sentiment from So Appreciative using my mini misti. They stamped in exactly the same spot which was important to achieve the different color heart from the other panel. I added different shades of Daniel Smith watercolors in green for one panel and browns for the other.

Once the panels were dry I cut out a heart from the center using the smallest heart in the Nested Hearts die set. I also cut out the same size heart 4 times in both the Neenah desert storm cardstock and the green Hero Arts cardstock. I layered these up behind the watercolor heart for both cards to add dimension. I stamped a whole latte on the inside using our A Latte Love stamp set and added a gift card. To make the little notches to hold the gift card in place I used the die from our Narrow card and envelope die set. I finished the cards off with a little confetti in Goldrush and Plastic Pine Tree.

Now to make envelopes for my two mini cards. I made them both from one of our slimline envelope builder sets! You will need to cut an extra top and bottom flap piece but for the main piece and two side pieces, you will only need one set.

I glued the two long side flaps on to the main panel and placed a piece of strong double-sided tape to one of the flaps. After the glue had dried I cut this piece in half (4.5″).

Once I had these two pieces I was ready to add the top and the bottom flaps. These are added just the same way as if you were assembling the long envelope. If you would like to see a tutorial on putting the envelope together you can see Jenny’s YouTube video HERE.

Two cards with two envelopes made super quick! What a great way to give a gift card or send a little note.

But wait! You can make envelopes for other sizes of cards too! Trinity Stamps just released a 4-bar card builder set and this envelope die set will work perfectly for this size card too!

The only thing I needed to do for this envelope was cut about 1/3 of the length off and it fit this 4-bar shaker card perfectly. This size can be sent through the regular mail as well.

You can see the excess that I cut off using my paper trimmer here.

I made my little shaker card using the 4-bar card die set & the just released Happy Hour stamp set. I also used the Layered Confetti stencil for the background and added Melted Icicle confetti and Lilypad confetti inside the shaker card.
