Merry & Bright – Vintage Ornaments

Hello, crafty friends and happy Thursday!! Brenda here with a colorful Christmas card featuring the Vintage Ornaments Layering Stencil Set to share with you today!!

I started by stenciling the Vintage Ornaments Layering Stencil Set onto white cardstock using Distress Oxide Inks, silver pigment ink and silver glitter paste with Blending Buddy Brushes. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out.

For the background, I die-cut the Argyle Stitch Background Die from an A2 panel of white cardstock.

For the sentiment, I die-cut the top layer once from silver glitter paper and three times from heavyweight white cardstock using the Simply Sentimental: Merry Coordinating Die Set. The bottom layer was cut twice from heavyweight white cardstock.

I figured out placement of the ornaments and used a clear sparkle pen and a T-square ruler to draw lines for the strings. The ornaments were adhered with liquid glue.

The sentiment die-cuts were stacked and adhered together using liquid glue, then adhered to the lower, right area of the card.

The rest of the sentiment, from the Simply Sentimental: Merry Stamp Set, was silver heat embossed onto white cardstock, trimmed into a narrow strip and popped up with foam tape. Silver Twinkle Stardust Rhinestones sprinkled around the sentiment add a bit of sparkle and finish off the card.

I adore the vintage look of these ornaments!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a great Thursday and I’ll see you next week!!

Brenda

  1. Love this card. I purchased the Vintage Christmas Ornament stencil and die at the Stamp and Scrapbook Expo yesterday in Puyallup. These will definitely be included in my holiday cards this year.
