Maple Leaves And Foiling!

Hi everyone! Von Marie here from Vonmariedesign and I am so happy to be on the blog today. I have a Fall card with some foiling. I will show you how I made it, let’s get started.

I started out with a sheet of Hammermill white Cardstock that I cut in half with my paper trimmer. I then used the Seasonal Winds Stencil with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink and a Blending Buddy Brush. I ink blended it two times on my cardstock.

Next, I used the Stitched Swirling Winds Die Set. I layered three of the dies from the set over my ink blending. I love the stitching from this set, so fun!

I decided to use some green dye ink and ink blend them on my other piece of cardstock. It is hard to see but I used three different green inks. I wanted different greens for my choice of colors today for the Cut and Foil Maple Leaf Die Set.

I cut my three pieces of green ink blended cardstock and used my Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foiling System with the foil Maple Leaf plate and some Spellbinders Matte Gold Foil. I love how they came out. I love to ink blend paper to get the colors I want for my project. Now it’s time to cut them out with the coordinating Maple Leaf Die.

I cut my ink blended panel out with the Modern Embossed A7 Layers Set using the second to the largest die. I then used the largest die to cut it out with white cardstock. I glued my leaves on my panel popping up the one on the left with foam squares. I used the Harvest Rainbow Stamp and die set for my sentiment. I stamped and heat embossed with Versamark ink and Gold embossing powder on white cardstock. I then used the shadow die to cut out with white cardstock. I glued them together and added foam squares before adding them to my panel. My panel was then added to the largest panel and then I added Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink on all the ends of my panels. Next, I cut out a 5×7 card base and glued my card front to it. Lastly, Gold Eclipse Flatback Rhinestones were added.

Well that finishes up my card. It was so fun and easy to make. Foiling and ink blending just make me smile. I hope you’ll give it a try.
