Hometown Parade
Hey, Katie here today. Hoping you are having a great Friday!
Last weekend it was sunny here and I went whale watching with my family. It was awesome! It put me even more in the mood for summer than I already was. Independence Day is just around the corner in the USA so I have a card that screams summer and the 4th of July.
Isn’t this just the most fun parade ever?! I love all the critters, it makes the perfect scene.
I made this with quite a few of the new products and a few older ones too. I started by stamping out the critters from the Greatest Friend on Earth, Hometown Parade, and Balancing Acts. I colored them with my Copics and used the coordinating dies to cut them out- Greatest Friend on Earth Die Set, Hometown Parade Die Set and Balancing Acts Die Set. When you combine these you get so many combination options!
Next, I used a white panel and distressed it using my Blending Buddy and distress inks, Broken China, Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot distress ink. Then I used my Superstar Stencil and my Layered Fireworks Stencil with the Glitter paste to create the starry sky. I threw in a few star embellishments for good measure. When it was all dry, I used foam tape to mount my images. Then I mounted this layer on top of a layer of red that was cut out using the Scalloped Card Panels Slimline Die. Tada! So stinking fun!
What do you think? I hope you love it, I sure do. Here is a close up of some of my fave critters- can you say Monkey on a tricycle and mouse in a cheese car? I can!!!
Thanks for visiting today and hope you have a marvelous and sunny Friday!
