Distress + Water + Acetate | Trinity Stamps

Thanks for stopping by friends! Today is Fri-YAY and I’m sharing this card up on Trinity Stamps blog. For this card, I’m featuring the Hello Sweet Friend stamp and dies and I’ll be using Distress Oxide inks for the background. Actually, I’ll be smooshing the inks in order to create a watercolor background. It’s so much fun!

Let the fun begin! I started by smooshing Bundle Sage, Spiced Marmalade and Fossilized Amber distress oxide inks and water onto a piece of acetate, one color at a time, and then placed it on top of a Distress Specialty paper. I repeated this step until I was happy with the look of the background. I set aside my panel and let it dry.

My next step was to stamp the floral arrangement with VersaFine Onyx Black ink on Neenah Classic Crest 80 lbs. Solar white and heat embossed it with Hero Arts clear embossing powder. Then, I started coloring the flowers using Copic Sketch markers. When I was finished, I run it through my die cutting machine using the matching dies.
Next, I adhered my distress panel to a black card base and I stamped and heat embossed my sentiment. Additionally, I added a piece of patterned paper from My Favorite Things to the bottom of the background and placed the flower arrangement on top. I finished this card by adding some embellishments. Have a wonderful Fri-YAY and please don’t forget to visit Trinity Stamp blog for more inspiration and get your goodies at www.trinitystamps.com before they are gone!
