Congrats, Smarty Pants Pocket Card

Hello, Trinity friends!! Brenda here with you today!! I was in need of another graduation card, so I reached for the Stitched Pocket Die Set to create a gift card holder on the front of my card!!

I started off by die-cutting the Stitched Pocket Die from white woodgrain paper (the texture reminded me of denim). I inked it with a heavy amount of Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Ink, then went over the stitched lines that are embossed into the pocket with a white gel pen to make the detail stand out a bit more.

I stamped the Polkadot Pattern Background Stamp onto white cardstock with Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Ink, then die-cut it with the second largest die in the A2 Clean Cut Layers Set A Die Set. I wanted my blues to match, so I die-cut another panel of white cardstock with the largest die in the same set and inked around the outside with the same ink.

I used sentiments from the Smarty Pants Stamp Set, stamped them with Faded Jeans, then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. I also die-cut two more of each die from heavyweight white cardstock to layer behind them for dimension.

The two rectangle die-cut panels were adhered together with liquid glue. The pocket was scored along the score lines and adhered only along the areas that were folded over, also using liquid glue.

The sentiment die-cuts were adhered together with liquid glue, then adhered to the front of the pocket. (Every new college student needs a Starbucks GC, am I right?)

The Oh My Stars Holographic Confetti Stars were the perfect accent to catch the light and add a bit of shine.

I love this unique way to gift a GC!!

Thanks so much for spending a bit of your day with me!! Have a good one!!

Brenda
