Wanted to Stop and Say

Happy Friday!  Katie here today.  Today I want to share a card that is perfect for a  tween or teen.

I made this card with my daughter in mind. My husband and I have been trying to avoid her having a phone as long as possible with out impacting her social life too much.  We told her she can get one when she is 13 or 8th grade if she has good grades (the grades are never a problem).  We are almost done with 7th… UM… that snuck up on me!

First quick and easy tip on this card, I had just the right bit of yellow cardstock handy and I grabbed the Catching Some Rays stencil, my Blending Buddy, and Marmalade ink.

I stamped the images on Copic friendly paper with my Misti. The images are from Let’s Ride Together and Classroom Cuties.  I colored them and cut them out with the coordinating Let’s Ride Together Dies and Classroom Cuties Dies. I placed the images where I wanted them with glue and foam tape and then stamped my sentiments.

I wanted to leave the surprise the inside, so she has to open it to see it.  It is a cute girl holding a cell phone.  Shhhhh, don’t tell her, will be our secret!

Just to make it extra fun, I stamped on the envelope too.  The lines aren’t as crisp, but it was just for fun anyway.

I hope she is surprised, likes the card (and the phone) and feels proud of herself when the day comes to give it to her.  I hope you like it too and thank you for visiting.

I hope you will check out the IG, FB page for more inspiration and check out the shop to pick up some of these goodies!

  1. I love this! What colors did you use for the skin? I’ve just recently started coloring & I’m not very good at choosing the right colors/shades yet.
