Stencil Mischief: Breaking “The Rules” (Shhh, Don’t Tell!) 😇

Hi friends! Irene here with @artemismade1 and I am ready to spill some crafty tea. ☕️ You and I both know that there are a few unofficial rules floating around when it comes to layered stenciling. You’re “supposed” to keep your stencil shape intact, use trusty ink pads, and stick to good ol’ cardstock, right? Well…in my latest tutorial for Trinity, I smiled sweetly at those rules–then totally ignored them! 😜

This card started with the adorable Layered Waffle 6×6 Stencil Set, which is already full of cozy breakfast vibes–but I couldn’t help myself. I had to ink outside the box (ha!) to get the look I wanted! And I didn’t stop there–I colored with a marker instead of an ink pad (because why not?), and even inked up vellum instead of cardstock! Rules? We don’t know her…

To top it all off, I couldn’t resist bringing in the Oh My Pie Die Set–because what’s a waffle without a slice of something sweet? 🫐 And for the perfect finishing touch, I layered it all up on a plate and fork from the Alphabet Soup Die Set and a sentiment from A Waffle Lot Stamp Set! It’s a card full of cozy chaos and syrupy rebellion, and I love how it turned out! 🧇

So if you’ve ever wondered, “Can I really do that with a stencil?” this video is your official invitation to rebel! 🙌 Head over to the Trinity Stamps YouTube channel, get inspired, and watch me bend the rules and still make a card that’s totally yummy! Let’s make a little crafty chaos together, friends, because creativity was never meant to stay inside the lines. 😉

Crafty hugs!!

Irene Smith

I broke the unspoken layered stencil rules and somehow still made a delicious card! 🧇 Catch the full crafty chaos on the Trinity Stamps YouTube channel!
