SSS CREATE – Project by Trinity Stamps

Last weekend (April 21 – 22) Trinity Stamps was at the CREATE event in Columbus Ohio put on by Simon Says Stamp. Trinity had a table set up for “CREATE IT & TAKE IT” projects for Friday and Saturday.  So many of you came out to the event and Taniesa (owner of Trinity Stamps) and myself, Carrie (Trinity Stamps design team member) were thrilled to get to meet you. We know that not all of you could make the trip so we thought it would be fun to do a video of both our projects to share with you.

So here is the video of our projects. Friday we did a mini lemonade cup and Saturday we did a Cupcake Shape Card. If you can not see the video up on this screen, you can also view it HERE

I also wanted you to have a place where you could get a close up look at the projects so below you will find pictures of each project.  First up is the Mini Lemonade Cup. The cups are 4oz Espresso Cups with lids, easily found on Amazon. But all the cute things to dress this up is from the Mini Cup Decor Die set and the Zest Wishes Stamp and Die set.  You can see all the products we used at the end of this post.

It is so easy to make these cups fit any theme you like using the Mini Cup Decor die set. It makes the little wrap and layered circles for a focal point image. For that, we use the dies from Zest Wishes to make the lemon and leaves the face is from the Zest Wishes stamp set. Did you know that the Zest Wishes stamp and die set come together! It’s a great buy!

We had to add some fun to the lid of the cup as well, and that is done with a heart from the Mini Cup Decor die set and some clay lemon embellishments! You can also use paper straws with this cup, just give the end of the straw a little pinch to flatten it and it will go into the slot of the lid great. This is a great project to use up some ribbons and twine you might have on hand. Gather a few strands and tie them around the straw.

There is plenty of room on the wrap to add a sentiment, in this case, You’re the Zest was the perfect fit for the space and the theme.

This cup is the perfect size for 5-6 pieces of candy, we made sure each student at our table filled their cup with fun sweets that coordinated with the design. These make great little gifts that could be for teachers, people who work in the service industry, co-workers, friends, kids/grandkids, and party favors too.  Just a few ways I thought of to use them.  This project seemed to be a big hit with those that came to make it. It’s always nice to use our paper crafting supplies to make cute things in addition to cards.

Now let’s take a look at the shape card we made on Saturday.

This card is another that is made so easy because of a die set, the Cupcake Card die set. It has all the pieces to make this shape card and the images that bring it to life that fit perfectly on top of the shape card.

The fun part of this card was ink blending with InkOn3 Atelier inks to bring the frosting layer to life. That is quickly and easily done with the help of the Trinity Stamps Blending Buddy Brushes. You can see one in the picture above. The are just the right size to hold the handle close the the domed brush. This size and shape make quick work of creating and ink blended panel. They were so popular with the students who made this card that the brushes sold out at the event!  But don’t worry, we have plenty for you in the shop! Also, notice the colored ring around the handle? We have designed this to help you easily identify which color a brush is used for. They will be hitting the shop in JUNE!

No project would be complete with out EMBELLISHMENT!  So we pulled out two for this card, Moonlight Confetti and White Glitter Spots. Both are available in the shop, the White Glitter Spots were another very popular item available for purchase at the event and did sell out. It is so fun that while at CREATE you not only get to meet people in person, make cute projects, take classes, but you also get to shop for product IN PERSON!  Everyone loved that when they were done making this card they could go and purchase the die set to make more cupcake cards at home. Am I making you want to go to the next CREATE event??? If you do make sure to come say HI to us and make cute things with us.

Below I have listed and linked the Trinity Stamps supplies used to make both projects. Please feel free to leave a comment below with any questions or thoughts, we’d love to hear from you.

You can find the 4oz cups HERE.

Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today, we will be back again Saturday with more ideas for you.
