Purple Pumpkin
Hey there friends. Katie here for another fun fall Sunday. Today I was hoping to share something just a little bit different with you.
Meet my purple pumpkin. You know, sometimes it is all about just going where the feeling takes you and for me, that meant using purple, green and a wee bit of orange for this fall card. here is how I made it.
First I used a light purple cardstock to cut out this Harvest Candy & Flower Bucket, I used my Blending Buddy to add a little Seedless Preserves Distress Ink along the bottom. Next, I used the Wildflower Clippings Die Set with various greens and purples to create the florals. I also threw some leaves in the mix by using the Cut & Foil Autumn Rainbow Die Set, but rather than foil them, I die cut them and used the foil die to emboss them. I also added some color to them with Distress, using Seedless again and some Abandoned Coral.
My next step was to put them all together, but first I needed a backdrop to put them on, so I die cut this polka dot layer form the Autumn Rainbow Paper Pad using the 4 Bar Die Set. I mounted that layer on top of purple, on top of kraft CS. Then I was able to use glue and foam tape to mount my pumpkin and flowers. I added some Latte Love Pearls to the mix with glue dots because they are shiny and fun. Lastly, I used the Big Thanks Cut & Foil Die with some cantaloupe colored cardstock, I used my blending buddy and Coral distress ink to make it look a bit ombre, then mounted it on the card for the grand finish.
I love how this turned out, it is not traditional, but the colors are lovely together and it is nice to make an elegant card for a change. I hope you like it too.
