Post-holiday card making with Erica
Hello everyone and happy Tuesday!
*sniff, sniff, cough, cough* Erica here. Hi. I’m in a bit of a blur, with days blending into each other, as I’ve been sick and my Mamma is still here visiting. With mojo low, I’ve got a quick card for you today:
I used a pre-embossed card base, which has a snowfall pattern on it, that’s been sitting in my stash for years (no joke) I have been hoarding this one and another few just like it, because I don’t own that embossing folder myself.
On a strip of vellum I heat embossed ‘If snowflakes were kisses, I’d send you a blizzard’ in Silver Pearl embossing powder from WOW!
On the back I drew thick lines with some light blue Copic markers to help the sentiment stand out a little. White on white is a great look but its nice to be able to see what a sentiment says, right?
With double sided tape, I adhered the strip to the card. I managed to get it slightly off centre despite using my craft mat to measure it. To stop the vellum from moving, I used some PostIt tape to keep it in place. All the best-laid-plans and all that.
Then I added a very generous sprinkling of embellishments from the Caribbean Ocean Confetti mix. These I added with Glossy Accents.
With that the card was done! With big, fabulous sentiments like this one, making a card takes very little time. Which is helpful when mojo/time/energy is low. This stamp set is not available to buy yet but will be released soon. Keep an eye out here on the blog and sign up for the newsletter to be the first to know when you can buy it!
Thanks for stopping by the Trinity Stamps blog today. I hope this card provided some inspiration for you despite being slightly wonky and off centre. Oh well, not every card is a master piece, lol!
Lots of love and happy crafting from Erica
Very cool Erica!
