Hedge Hugs

Hi there!  Katie back for another fun holiday creation before the year is out.  This week I have a fun gift box to share with a super fun tag. 

Isn’t this fun!?  I made this for a friend and it has something special inside that is perfect for them. it was so fun to make and decorate and below you can learn exactly how I did it. 

First, I cut out the Pillow Box Die Set using some fun holiday paper in red.  Then I used some green cardstock to create a belly band with the Dainty Scallop Edge Slimline Die. I adhered the belly band with some EZ Tear tape and then put my box together.  Next, I added some fun holiday ribbon.  I set this aside and made the tag.  I used the new Slimline Tag Die Set to create the tag and the reinforcement.  Then i stamped and colored the hedgehog from the Winter Burrow Stamp Set and cut it out with the coordinating Winter Burrow Die Set. I colored it with Copics (E11, E13, E15, E25, E27, YG17, YG15, YG11, R37, R35, R14).  Then I mounted it all on the tag, including the sentiments.  I added a clay star to the hat using Funfetti Twinkle Clay Embellishments and then tied it to my package using some red twine. 

I love the way this turned out, it makes me smile.  Now it will wait under my tree until I have the opportunity to deliver it to my friend.
