Birthday wishes for a coffee addict

Hi Everyone, Mirella with you here today.  Are you ready for another card with the adorable Dir-Tea Bunny? I know I am!

Today’s card was inspired by the current Spring/Summer Coffee Lover’s Blog Hop – Trinity Stamps are one of the sponsors of it, so I thought that it would only be apt if I made something coffee/tea related this week. I happen to have a few friends who are absolute coffee addicts, so this card will for sure end up with one of them on their birthday!

I started with creating my “coffee heart”, using some brown inks and the Layered Heart stencil set. I really love that stencil – it’s so easy to align, and the colour possibilities are endless.

I quickly coloured and cut out the adorable bunny, and then I made him a set of rainbow coffee cups, because who wouldn’t want their coffee presented in all the colours of the rainbow, right? In the stamp set, there were enough coffee-related images and little sentiments to put on the cups, and I am really chuffed with how cute the Bunny’s coffee mug collection turned out! I wish I had cups like this, but in my case I would have one for each day of the week ;-).

I “grounded” the Bunny on a little strip of gold paper (I don’t know what it is, but I love mixing some gold into my coffee-themed cards, I think it goes really well with the browns!), and then arranged his cups around him. This Bunny has had some amount of coffee today already, eek!

For the sentiment, I used the Happy Senti Mini Die Set, and the matching stamp set (I love how affordable these are!), and for some additional golden bling I opted for the Gold Coin Metallic Confetti Mix

All that was left to do, was to adhere the panel to a card base. I decided to use a kraft coloured base, and I trimmed the panel slightly, to allow some of the kraft peek at the top and bottom.

I keep looking at this finished design and smiling, there’s just something totally whimsical about this design. Do you like it?

That’s it from me for today. As usual, the list of all of the products used will be on my blog. I’ll see you again in two weeks with some new inspiration!

Stay safe and don’t drink too much coffee,

Mirella
