Coffee Mug Card Pop Up Card
Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) on the blog today. If you didn’t know, Trinity Stamps is a sponsor for Coffee Loving Cardmakers and they are having a Coffee Lovers blog hop going on from 5/22 to 5/29. If you’re a coffee lover like me and enjoy making cards with coffee, stop on by for some caffeinated inspiration.
I was inspired to create using some of Trinity Stamps coffee products. Today, I focused on using the Coffee Mug Card Die Set along with a few other die sets: Slimline Card Series: Wonky Stitched Wilderness, Scenic Border and Marshmallow Alphabet. This card was created completed using dies and a little blending.
For my main card panel, I used the Blending Buddies to add varying shades of blue distress inks all over. I used atelier ink to swipe a piece of white cardstock covering it in green so I could use the grass die from the Scenic Border set.
To create the scene, I used various items from the Slimline Card Series: Wonky Stitched Wilderness (the mountains, mountain caps, trees, and clouds) by cutting them out of colored cardstock. Once I had all the pieces, I glued it onto the card panel.
I didn’t plan to make it a Father’s Day card but while I was making it, it seemed masculine and perfect for it! I grabbed my Marshmallow Alphabet and cut out the letters to spell out Dad.
My idea was to put a spin on this card, so I made this coffee mug into a pop up card. I just created two one and a half inch strips (scored at a quarter of an inch on each side) that adhered the front and back together.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you get inspired to create. Come back again soon for more inspiration and ideas! Happy Crafting!
