The Greatest Showman
Happy Friday friends! Katie here today and gearing up for the weekend. I am sooooo ready for it and hoping to have a little fun time, perhaps watching a movie featuring Hugh Jackman… hint.
Admittedly, I am not a huge musical fan and I didn’t think I would like the movie The Greatest Showman. But… a friend of mine sang it’s praises and I watched it and loved it! Today’s card is inspired by that movie and with that friend in mind.
Here is my card inspired by this scene in the movie. I used a lot of goodies on this card, old and new.
I started by taking a piece of smooth white cardstock 4 X 5.25 and distressing it with my Blending Buddy and distress inks (Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire).
Once I had the look I wanted, I used ran it through my die cutting machine with my Starry Skies Coverplate. Then I ran it through again with the Embossed Edge Circle Stack in the middle. Next, I used the Shine Brighter Stencil on the cut out circle, with white and yellow ink to create a spotlight. I mounted that layer flat onto a navy cardstock base. I took the outer layer and mounted it on the base using foam tape, so there was some dimension. I added some gold star embellishments and set it aside.
Next, I used the square postage die from the Mini Slimline Card and Envelope set to create the square for the sentiment. I stamped the sentiment from The Greatest Friend on Earth set and mounted that on the base with foam tape.
Then I broke out the Le Cirque set, stamped and colored the images on Copic friendly paper. I colored them with Copics (B12, B24, B26, E00, E02, E13, E15, E18, V15, V17, C7, C5, C3, C1, RV06, RV04, RV02, Y13, Y15, R27, R22, R14). I cut them out using the corresponding Le Cirque Die Set. I used a sparkle pen to make my Zendaya character shimmer and shine. I mounted them on the base using foam tape and put my trapeze artist in the spotlight. Lastly, I added some white gel pen highlights.
Well that’s all, I really hope you like this card today and thank you for visiting.
