Thankful For You!
Hi everyone! It’s Von Marie here from Vonmariedesign and I have a Fall card to share with you today and it was so much fun to make using the New Cut & Foil Autumn Rainbow Die Set.
I didn’t want to grab a bunch of colored cardstock for my leaves, so I colored with my Tombow Dual Brush Markers instead. I just scribbled randomly in what I thought were Fall colors onto Canson XL Coldpress Watercolor 140lb cardstock. It was my first time using this paper for hot foiling especially with my Tombow Markers.
I really loved how the Hot Foiling came out. I used Polished Brass Glimmer foil from Spellbinders and my Glimmer Hot Foiling System. I did that a few times to get a good amount of leaves.
I used the coordinating die that comes in the set and ran them through my diecutting machine. I think they came out so pretty. Oh just Another favorite die set of mine, that I will be using a lot.
Next, I cut my panel with some Gold Shimmer Cardstock using the Slimline Striped Panel die. I wanted it to match my leaves when I layered it so I scribbled again on Canson cardstock and cut it out with my paper trimmer. I colored some more cardstock for my word sentiment to match too. Such an easy way to match and you don’t have a bunch of unwanted scraps. Or you can use scraps you have too.
I glued my panels together and glued my leaves. I cut out the word die a few more times to layer and stamped a secondary sentiment to go with my word die using Thankful For You stamp set with brown ink and white cardstock. I used my paper trimmer to cut it.
Another favorite part of mine is adding some fabulous embellishments. Trinity Stamps definitely has the best embellishments. Of course I used my Pick Up Stick Tool. I used the Gold Eclipse Rhinestone Mix embellishments using a odd number amount and different sizes.
And since I had extra Leaves. I made a matching envelope using the Slimline Envelope Builder Die Set. I hope you like my Gold Foiling project for today. It was so much fun and I hope you’ll give it a try!
