Succulent Banner thankful card with Erica
Hi guys!
Did anyone think I would make a coffee card comeback today? LOL, well, if anyone is disappointed about the fact I didn’t, I confess I very nearly did. Maybe next week?
For today’s card I used the Succulent Banner stamp and coordinating diecut for a simple friendship card.
To start with I got a 5.5″x4.25″ piece of Copic friendly card stock and popped that in my Mini MISTI. I placed the stamp where I wanted it to go on the card and stamped it with Copic friendly ink. The reason it had to go where I want it on the card front is because I thought it would look fun to pop it up with foam tape but I wanted it from the same panel. Makes sense? It’s a bit later here and getting close to my bedtime so I might not always make sense 100% (I have an inner old lady that demands at least 8hrs, preferably 9 and ideally 10hrs of sleep each night)
Right, well, once the image was stamped I coloured it in using a variety of Copics.
Once I was happy with it, I cut it out using the coordinating diecut and then used it to cut out a perfect shape in foam sheet. I will go on and on about these double sided foam sheets, they are magic!
I thought the background could do with a little something and what better than some gold splatters? Gold works with almost everything and splatters are so easy to add. I probably should have added them before adhering the background to the card base though. Oh well, you live and learn.
I almost forgot about stamping ‘Thankful’ on the banner on the image but managed to remember it before adding that to the card. Imagine messing up the last thing you do to the card?? Ugh, annoying. Luckily, it stamped perfect and works with the ‘That you’re in my life’
The last thing to do was to add the layered up image to the gap on the card and hey presto! All done!
That’s it from me for today but I will be back next week with, most likely, a coffee card. Can anyone blame me though? The Coffee With Character stamp set is so adorable!
Have a great week and happy crafting from Erica
This is really beautiful Erica!
