Succulent Banner: One Stamp, Three Ways with Designer Emily!

Hello, Friends and welcome to this week’s One Stamp, Three Ways! Today I’m sharing how I used the Succulent Banner Set to create three different CAS projects.

For my first project, I created a vibrant green and purple succulent bookmark. Making your own bookmarks is a great way to stretch stamps and they make great mailable gifts for book loving friends and family. To create the bookmark base, I used a die in my stash. I partial-stamped the succulent banner to the bottom of the bookmark, colored with Copics and added some fun embellishments for pop. The bookmark tassel was made with black and white bakers twine that I braided at the end.

Once the bookmark was complete, I thought it would be fun to create matching bookplates. To create the bookplates, I created a digital template that I printed on a sheet of Avery removable label paper. I trimmed down the template into six 3×4 bookplates. I partial-stamped the succulent image to the bottom of the bookplates and colored with Copics to match the bookmark. The Copic colors used are BG01, BG15, BG13, G00, G12, G43, V01, V04, V05.

For the third project, I created a watercolor card. I’m new to watercolor, so this was an experiment for me. I stamped and embossed the succulent image with white embossing powder to watercolor paper. I used Gansai watercolors to paint the image with blues and purples. To bring some depth to the image, I highlighted the background with silver shimmer paint. To finish the card, I added some washi and adhered to an aqua base. I decided not to include a sentiment, and wait for the occasion and add the sentiment right before sending. The Succulent Banner stamp has a great selection of sentiments for many different occasions.

There you have it, friends! Three CAS designs with one stamp. I hope you enjoyed these projects!
