Steep in Your Creativi Tea
Hello, crafty friends!! Brenda from mypapercutcreations here with you today!! I don’t know about you, but I’m always excited for new products that I can create cards for my crafty friends with…especially when they coordinate with previously released goodies!! When I saw the Creativi-Tea Stamp Set, I knew immediately that I would pair it up with the A Crafter’s Heart Stamp Set!!
Let’s get to my project!!
I began by ink smooshing diluted Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink onto a panel of watercolor cardstock with a scrap piece of acetate. Then I drug the panel through the excess color on my glass mat, splattered it with water and picked up the excess with a paper towel. I kept repeating the process until I liked the result.
Once the panel is totally dry (I waited overnight), I white heat embossed the A Crafter’s Heart Stamp onto the panel. I also added some splatters with diluted white gouache using a paint brush. Once that was dry, I trimmed the panel slightly and adhered it to a panel of white and red cardstock, before adding it to an A2 size top-folding card base.
From there, I stamped the images from the Creativi-Tea Stamp Set with InkOn3 Blackout Ink and the sentiment with red ink. I colored the mug and craft supplies with Copics, then cut those images and the sentiment out with the Coordinating Dies.
All of the die-cuts were popped up with foam adhesive onto the watercolored panel. I darkened the eyes with a black gel pen and added highlights with a white gel pen to finish it off!!
I really love how these two stamp sets work together!! They look like they were made for each other!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great weekend and I’ll see you next Friday!!
