Sparkling New Year’s Hostess Gift Packaging & Party Shakers!!

HELLO CRAFTY FRIENDS!! 
Larissa here today to share some Sparkling New Year’s Hostess Gifts & Party Shakers!! Can you believe that the Count Down to the New Year will be here in 27 Days!!?? I’m still just trying to wrap my head around the fact that Christmas will be here in 21 Days!! I’m not sure how you feel, but I’m just not sure where this year has gone!!?? With that being said, I KNOW that everyone is feeling the Holiday Crunch and I don’t want the Festivities for the New Year to get any less attention!! So I’m here to share a Few REALLY FUN Projects to get your READY to RING IN THE NEW YEAR in STYLE!! 

First let’s create the Hostess Gift Packaging!! I just LOVE the NEW Pillow Gift Box Die Set!! There are SO MANY ways to use this Die Set through out the Year!! Not only are the SUPER EASY to put together, but the possibilities for creating them are ENDLESS!! Not only that, but if you want to get your Kids involved these would even be a FUN way to have them join in on the activities of getting ready for the New Year!! 

I Started by Die Cutting the NEW Pillow Gift Box Die Set out of some Black 110 lb. Cardstock!! Then I used my Static Tool to go over the top of the Pillow Box to help prevent any Embossing Powder from sticking to the box where I didn’t want it too!! Next I placed some Masking Tape to the edges of the Pillow Box so I could mask them off and prevent them from being stamped by the Image!! I placed the Box Die Cut in my MISTI Stamping Tool and Stamped the NEW Happy Dance Image onto the front of the Pillow Box Die Cut with some WoW Clear Embossing Ink!! Then I Embossed the Image with some WoW Metallic Platinum Sparkle Glitter Embossing Powder!! You could choose to do ANY Color combination here!! I personally LOVE the WoW Embossing Glitters and just anything that SPARKLES in general, especially for the NEW Year!! SWOON!! Isn’t this Image STUNNING when Embossed with the Glitter Embossing Powder!! I think it adds some Life and Movement to the Image as if you can really see them Dancing across the Pillow Box!! 

Next I wanted to add some Tags to Dress the Hostess Package up!! Again there are so MANY POSSIBILITIES here too!! Trinity Stamps offers Several AMAZING Tag Sets that are VERY Versatile and can by used YEAR Round for Any Occasion!! You can even use these Tags for your Card and Layout Designs as well so having them in your stash comes in handy!! I Die Cut 2 Tags from the NEW Slimline Tags Die Set!! The Long Skinny one from some White Cardstock and then I Die Cut the coordinating Hole Reinforcement from some Black Cardstock that I Embossed with the same WoW Metallic Platinum Sparkle Glitter Embossing Powder so that it would coordinate with the Pillow Box!! Next I Stamped and Embossed the “a Gift For You” Sentiment from the NEW Holiday Tag Helper Stamp Set with Versa Fine Black Onyx Ink and WoW Clear Gloss Embossing Powder!! For the Second Circle Tag I Die Cut it from the same Black 110 lb. Cardstock I used to Die Cut the Pillow Box from and then I Die Cut another Platinum Sparkle Hole Reinforcement and Stamped and Embossed the To: From: Sentiment from the same using WoW Clear Embossing Ink and Embossing with WoW Bright White Embossing Powder!! Then I created a BEAUTIFUL Scrap Ribbon Bow and tied some Metallic Jingle Bells to the Center of the Bow using some Metallic Thread!! I LOVE the way the Bow and Tags finish off the Design and I’m certain any Hostess would SMILE in Delight to receive this for the New Year or ANY time of the Year for any type of Occasion!! 

Next I created a FUN New Year’s Party Shaker!! How FUN are these!!?? I personally LOVE ALL of the Activities that come with RINGING IN the New Year!! So when I was thinking of a way to create something FAST and EASY but yet still Stylish this Idea came to me and I just LOVE the way it turned out!! Again you could create these Assembly Line Style and Knock out Several in no time at all!! Especially if you wanted to make it a FAMILY/GROUP Project and spend an afternoon/evening creating them!! I can just imagine the MEMORIES that would be made, not only in creating them but also in being able to use them to RING IN THE NEW YEAR!!

Next I created the Wooden Stick that will be the Handle for the Party Shaker!! I found these at my local Dollar General Store, but ANYTHING would work for a Handle!! I decided I wanted my Handle to Match the Embossed Image so I coated the bottom portion of my Wooden Stick with WoW Clear Embossing Powder and then Embossed it with the same WoW Pearl Gold Sparkle Glitter Embossing Powder!! I did repeat the same process on BOTH sides of the Handle, but you could skip this part if you wanted!! The Wooden Handles would be just fine, but I personally LOVE the Sparkle and feel it adds to the Special Occasion of Ringing in the New Year!! Once the Handle was Heat Embossed, I adhered it to the Center of the bottom portion of the Pillow Box using some STRONG Double Sided Tape!! I also added some Hot Glue just around either side of the Handle to ensure that the Shaker Elements would come out during any Vigorous Shaking!! I think these could serve as “Treat Shakers” too for added FUN!! So I choose to fill mine with Skittles and M&Ms!! You could also use Rice or Beans if you wanted!! Anything that will make noise when they’re Shaken!!  I also think these would be FUN to make for Birthday Parties or Baby/Wedding Showers!! Even for Anniversary Parties and have the Party attendees Shake them every time you want the Couple to KISS!!
What a SPECIAL Way to CELEBRATE their LOVE!! 

Then I added another Circle Tag along with another Scrap Ribbon Bow only this time I left the Ribbon Strands longer for a FUN Design!! For the Circle Tag I Die Cut it from some White 110 lb. Cardstock and then I Die Cut a Pearl Gold Sparkle Hole Reinforcement and Stamped and Embossed the “Happy New Year” Sentiment from the NEW Simply Sentimental Happy Stamp Set using Versa Fine Black Onyx Ink and  WoW Clear Embossing Ink!! I finished it off by tying some Metallic Jingle Bells to the Center of the Bow using some Metallic Thread!! 
So there you have it a couple Ideas on ways to use the     for some of your New Year’s Projects, but these could be used for ANY Occasion!! Like I mentioned Birthday, Anniversaries, Baby Showers!! The possibilities are ENDLESS!!
