Slimline Do Re ME OW!!!

Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) on the blog today with Trinity Stamps to share a card featuring a couple of new release items. Have you checked out the latest release? It’s pretty darn amazing!

Some of these photos were sneaked during release week but I wanted to do a full feature on this card because it’s one of my favorites that I create during the release week.

Before diving into my card, I’d like to say that there’s been a lot of hype around slimline cards and Trinity Stamps has released a couple dies for the Slimline Series. There are two bases: Scalloped Card Panels & Banners AND Stitched Card Panels & Windows.

Along with these two bases, there’s also a set of dies to help create a scene: Scenic Border

For my card, when I saw the Stitched Card Panels & Windows, I focused in on the windows and thought it was PERFECT for a shaker card. I also noted that in the Do Re ME OW set, there were three cats! It was so perfect for the windows!

I used distress inks and inked up the background using the Blending Buddies. P.S. I prefer the brown bristles because I switch up the colors and didn’t want to see the mixes… You don’t need that many and can easily clean them off and use with multiple colors.

For the slimline base, I used the stitched rectangles from the Stitched Card Panels & Windows. It was so perfect. I used the Scenic Border to let the kitties stand on some snow. I added a generous amount of Twinkle Twinkle embellishments to the windows and added foam tape. Since the embellishments are flat, I only needed one layer of foam.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you get inspired to create. Come back again soon for more inspiration and ideas! Happy Crafting!
