Rino Bird Day with Donna Lewis

Happy Saturday crafty friends. We’re so happy to have Donna joining us today with her beautiful watercolor Rhino Bird Day card.

I’ve made a card today that is quite different to my usual colouring style. I first inked a piece of watercolour paper with Distress Inks, in greys, mauve and apricot, then stamped and embossed the Rhino from Rhino Bird Day in silver embossing powder. I coloured the rhino in cool grey Copics, adding just enough shadow that she stood out from the background, but was still subtle. I added sequins from the Black Tie Affair, picking out just the silver ones in different shapes, sizes, and finishes. There were a lot to choose from! 
The sentiment is from the Succulent Banner stamp set, also embossed in silver. I framed the rhino, keeping the frame offset from the centre of the card.
