Rainy Days Together Shaker card with Erica

Hi everyone!

How are we all? I hope you have enjoyed the sneak peeks and the blog hop this week, celebrating our new Spring Fling release! If you haven’t seen it yet, check out the Trinity Stamps shop HERE and the blog is HERE.

So, it’s May already! Anyone else feeling like they gotta hold on for deal life, with the days passing in a flurry?? It really does feel like it was just Jan 1st and a whole new year. Now we are a quarter through it, in the blink of an eye. I’m just a tad in denial about it.

For my card today I have used some brand new goodies: Rainy Days Together, along with Puddle Jumping and Puffy Cloud embellishments to make a shaker card! I don’t do shaker cards very often, because without fail, I always forget to add the acetate sheet to the shaker compartment every time. And end up having to re-do that part every time is both annoying, frustrating and makes me feel very senile. Like whyyyyy??? *read it with a wailing tone of voice*

I started out by stamping up the image on Copic friendly card stock and then coloured her in with Copics, in a red and blue colour scheme.

To create (and then re-create because of my inability to do it right the first time) the shaker compartment, I used a rectangular diecut from Lawn Fawn and cut out one in silver mirror card stock and one in foam sheet. Well, actually, two of each because of my silliness.

On the inside of the foam sheet, I used my anti-static tool along the edges to stop the embellishments from sticking to it. Once all covered, I placed it face-down on my table and filled it with the embellishments I had picked out. It’s possible I went a little bit overboard… but oh well!

Carefully removing the coverings on the foam sheet, I placed my card panel on top and sealed it by squeezing along all edges. Then it was a quick job of adding it to a card base, and hey presto! Done!

That’s it from me for today, thanks for stopping by! Don’t forget there is still time to hop along with the Spring Fling blog hop for your chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the Trinity Stamps shop AND an embellishment goodie bag!!

Lots of love and happy crafting from Erica
