Rainbow Hugs Mini Cups

Hello, crafty friends!! I have a fun project to share with you today that isn’t a card!! I just ADORE the mini coffee cups that Trinity carries and couldn’t wait to use the new Rainbow Hugs Mini Cup Add-On to decorate some!! These cups are the perfect size to add a little treat and let someone know that you’re thinking of them! They work great for ANY occasion!

I even made a fun discovery while playing with these the other night…the slimline dies and stencils work great for the coffee cup sleeve in the Mini Coffee Cup Sleeve and Decor Dies!! I was so excited! Let’s get started!!

For my first cup, I die-cut the heart and arms from white cardstock using dies from the Rainbow Hugs Mini Cup Add-On and colored them with Copics. I die-cut the sleeve from white cardstock with a die in the Mini Coffee Cup Sleeve and Decor Die Set. I used the Slimline Lots of Dots Stencil, Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink and a Blending Buddy brush to add the polka dots to the sleeve, then adhered it to my mini coffee cup. The heart and arms were adhered to the sleeve. “I miss you’, from A Sentiment For (almost) Everything was stamped onto white cardstock with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink and cut out with the tag die in the Mini Coffee Cup Sleeve and Decor Set. I tied the tag onto the stopper with some pink and white twine and called this one done!!

For my second cup, I die-cut the rainbow and cloud from white cardstock and the scallops from black cardstock using the Rainbow Hugs Mini Cup Add-On. I colored the rainbow with Copic markers and adhered them to the coffee cup band that was die-cut from white cardstock with a die in the Mini Coffee Cup Sleeve and Decor Set. The scallops were adhered to the back of the rainbow and then adhered around the mini cup. “Get well soon”, from A Sentiment For (almost) Everything was stamped onto the cloud with Versafine Onyx Black Ink. The sun was cut from yellow cardstock with the circle die in the Mini Coffee Cup Sleeve and Decor Set. The sun and cloud were adhered with foam tape and a black & white twine bow tied to the stopper completes this one!!

My third and final cup is this cutie-patootie unicorn!! I die-cut the eyes and ears from white cardstock and the horn from silver glitter paper using dies in the Rainbow Hugs Mini Cup Add-Ons and colored them with Copics. I die-cut the sleeve from white cardstock using a die in the Mini Coffee Cup Sleeve and Decor Die Set then added the quilting with the Slimline Quilted Coverplate Die. I stenciled on some metallic silver ink through the dot stencil in the Quilt Pattern Trio Stencil Set with a Blending Buddy. The sleeve, eyes, horn and ears were adhered to the mini cup as shown. Easy peasy!!

It was really nice to create something other than a card, for a change! After all, we have most of the supplies, why not use them for other papercrafting projects!! What about you…do you use your supplies for projects other than cards?

Thanks for hanging out with me today!! Have a great weekend!!!

Brenda
