Pretty in Pink: One Stamp, Three Ways with Designer Emily M.

Hi Friends! Emily @popsofpaper here today sharing a sneak peek! Our Bright Side New Release goes live on Friday, July 31st. For my projects today, I decided to take a color (hot pink) that I’m not as comfortable working with and using it as a core design element to create a trio of Happy Birthday cards using One Floral Stamp Image from the soon-to-be released Blooming Bunches Stamp Set.

I love how you can take one stamp image and with a few twists & turns and different placements and card sizes, you can stretch your stamps to create several unique looks.

Trinity Stamps Blooming Bunch Stamp Set

I stamped all of my cards with VersaFine Clair Charming Pink Ink and heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.

Tip: VersaFine Clair Ink is a pigment ink and not suitable for alcohol based markers without bleeding. But…if you heat emboss your images with clear embossing powder you can use your alcohol markers to your heart’s content. And VersaFine Clair ink is embossable for several minutes so you can stamp multiple images before heat setting the images.

For all of my coloring, I used the following Copic Markers:

  • RV000, 02, 10, 13
  • G0000, 000, 00
  • C0 (for outlining the floral images)

Slimline Floral Card

I used the Slimline Card Series: Stitched Card Panels and Windows Dies to create stacked stitched frames. Then I stamped three impressions of the floral image to the bottom and top right corner of the stitched white cardstock slimline panel. I colored the images and then added the Pink on White Shadow Happy Birthday sentiment.

Floral Landscape Card

I stamped one impression off the side of the left card panel. Colored the images and then adhered the White on Pink Happy Birthday sentiment to the panel.

Floral Portrait Card

I stamped two impressions at the top left and bottom right corners of the card panel. Colored the images and then adhered Happy Birthday from the Slimline Series: Celebration Borders Die Set.

So there we are friends, three pretty in pink cards using just one stamp image from the soon to be released Blooming Bunches stamp set. I hope you enjoyed my post today and it inspires you try new colors and stretch your stamps in fun new ways.

Be sure to check out the Trinity Stamps blog, IG and You Tube for new release sneak peeks all week long!

  1. Emily, these are great! I saw them on IG the other day but it is nice to get the details of how you did it and I did not know this ink was not good with Copics, so it was a good tip or it is a good tip to know that you can clear emboss them! So pretty and if one did it in blue or green, it would work for a man’s birthday! Crafty cheers!
