Pencil Shaped Teacher Slimline Card

Hi everyone!

Ilina here! Today I am sharing shaped slimline card using the new Pencil slimline die set along with the Simply Sentimental Teacher stamp and coordinating die set.

I LOVE this die set and making shaped slimline cards with it is a breeze.

To make the card I started by die cutting the frame for the pencil two times from white card stock. Next, I die cut the rest of the elements using pink shade cardstock, silver, mustard, gray. I went for traditional pencil look, but you can chose any colors you like, you can make it a colored pencil, too.

I also die cut one of the Teacher sentiments from white and shadow from black car stock and assembled it. Stamped one of the supporting sentiments from the set and cut it to a strip.

Now, that we have all the elements together it’s’ time to assemble the card. Adhere the elements on one of the white die cuts. I started from the eraser part and then moved to the lead.

To ensure I had equal spacing on both sides, I first assembled all the parts without adhering them, then adhered them one by one, while the rest of the elements were left in place. You can also use reposition-able or low tack tape if you like.

We now have the front of the card. We have also one remaining white pencil outline die cut. I scored this one at 1/2” from the eraser end and folded along the score line and then unfold. Add adhesive on the tap and connect the two pieces together to make side opening slimline card.

To finish off the card I added several Silver Satin Baubles embellishments mix.

Your card is finished!

Thank you so much for stopping by. Hope you have an amazing day!
