Ocean Reef Builder

Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) on the blog today to share a card I created using Trinity Stamps’ stamp set named, Ocean Reef Builder. This stamp set has a TON of images but I love the octopus in this set the most.

I wanted to create a simple background for this card yet build an oceanic look. I used a couple of distress inks and smooshed them by using a piece of acetate. The trick with the ink smooshing is to not get the inks too wet so it’s able to create the texture.

I stamped out the octopus and two coral images for this card to color up. I chose colors that contrasted with the blue background so they could pop. For the sentiment, I decided to use the large sentiment so it gave enough space to ground these images. The sentiment on the strip of black cardstock really divides the background and pulls your focus to the stamped images.

I love how this card turned out. I hope you do too.

Thanks for stopping by! Come back soon!
