Mix it Up Monday: Bunny Burrow & Slimline Series Dies
Hi Friends and Happy Monday! Emily @popsofpaper here sharing a cheerful slimline critter card that I made for my niece’s 4th Birthday. The critters in the Bunny Burrow stamp set are cuteness overload.
To create my card, I combined the Bunny Burrow stamp set with a mix and match of Slime Series Metal Die Sets. The Trinity Stamps Slimline Die Series continues to grow with fun new designs that are perfect for the long and lean card size. For my card today, I used the following die sets to build my under the rainbow scene:
- The Great Outdoors Borders and Builders Die Set for the grassy knoll and white picket fence.
- Rainbow Builder Die Set for the background. I cut the rainbow in white card stock and then colored the rainbow beams with red, orange, yellow, green and blue Copic Markers.
- Celebration Borders for the Birthday Sentiment on the picket fence. I really love this set for all the layered cake decorations but I keep coming back to the Happy Birthday To You Sentiment. It also looks fantastic on A2 Sized Cards and vellum shadows.
I colored all of the Bunny Burrow friends and happy home with Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend Markers and White Gel Pen. Then I fussy cut all of the images. If you’re not a fan of fussy cutting, you can also use the Bunny Burrow coordinating dies.
Then I die cut all of the different pieces from The Great Outdoors & Rainbow Builder die sets from white card stock. For the grassy hill, I used my blending buddies to apply distress oxide inks in different green hues. For the white picket fence, I also added some gray distress oxide in for a distress wood look.
Once I had all of the pieces ready, I assembled all of the elements using foam tape and liquid adhesive.
So there we are friends, a happy “Under the Rainbow” happy scene using a mix and match of slimline dies with the Bunny Burrow Stamp Set. I hope you enjoyed my post today and it inspires you to combine your stamps and dies in fun new ways.
Big Paper Hugs!
Emily
