Mini Felt and Paper Lantern!!

Hello Crafty Friends!! 

Larissa here today to share a BEAUTIFUL Mini Felt and Paper Lantern using several of the NEW January Release Products!! These would be so FUN to make for a Special Birthday Celebration, a Graduation Party or even a Baby Shower just to name a few!! 

I Started by Die Cutting the Slated Lantern Body Die from the Mini Paper Lantern Die Set  from some Benzie Design Gold Metallic Felt!! SWOON!! This Felt is BEAUTIFUL and I feel like it adds that “SPECIAL” feel to the Lantern once its finished!! 

Next I Foiled a piece of Mulberry Cardstock with some Spellbinders Matte Gold Hot Foil using the NEW Art Deco Dance Foil Plate!! SWOON!! Just look at that Regal looking Design POP off the Cardstock!! Then I Die Cut the Main Base of the Mini Lantern from the Hot Foiled Cardstock!! 

Next I Die Cut 3 of the Border Strips from the same Hot Foiled Cardstock and then I Adhered the Slated Felt Lantern Body to the Main Base of the Lantern using some Red Line Tape for some extra Strength!! Then I Adhered the Borders to the Slated Felt Lantern Body again using some Red Line Tape and then adhered the Lantern together using a mixture of Red Line Tape and Liquid Glue for some added Strength!! I used some Small Clothes Pins to hold the Edges together while the Glue Dries completely!! Once everything was dry, I added the last Border for the Handle of the Lantern!! I used Liquid Glue again along with the Small Clothes Pins to hold the handle in place while they Dry!! 

I Die Cut the Tassel Die from some of the Hot Foiled Cardstock and then rolled it to create the Sweet Tassel to hang from the center of the Lantern!! 
 
To finish everything off I Die Cut the Flower Die 4 times from some of the same Metallic Gold Felt and adhered some of the Pearl Perfection Iridescent Bauble Pearls to the center of the Felt Flowers using some Bling Zots!! I also Die Cut the Top and the Handle from some of the Metallic Gold Felt and adhered them to the Tassel!! Then I added the Tassel and the Flowers to the Lantern to finish off the Design!! 

I LOVE how the Flowers and Tassel dress up the Lantern!! So BEAUTIFUL!! You could create this same design using ANY Color way you need for ANY themed Party of Special Occasion!!
