Love You Bunches
Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) on the blog today with a sneak peek at one of the stamp and die sets from the Trinity Stamps‘ January release.
Lately, I’ve been loving floral images and this one caught my eye immediately. It’s a large floral bouquet called Love You Bunches and it’s just gorgeous. I wanted the focus to be on the image and I recently fell back in love with alcohol inks. It was the perfect combination for this card.
I played with three colors of alcohol inks, one of which plays off of the signature teal color for Trinity Stamps, as well as combining with purple and blue. With alcohol inks, they have a mind of their own and since the floral image is so large, I wasn’t too concerned with the outcome so I let the alcohol inks flow naturally. Once they dried a little bit, I press a bit of silver foil on the wet areas where the alcohol ink sticks.
For the main image from Love You Bunches, I stamped it using Versamark ink on a piece of vellum, heat embossed it using white embossing powder, and die cut it with the coordinating die. Sometimes with large images, you don’t need to color them to make a bit impact. This one works perfectly! Isn’t it gorgeous?
For the sentiment, I stamped it on dark gray cardstock using the same white embossing powder and added it to the bottom left corner of the card.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you get inspired to create. Come back again soon for more inspiration and ideas! Happy Crafting!
