Let Love Grow: One Stamp, Three Ways with Designer Emily!

Hello, Friends and Happy Monday! So glad you are here for this week’s One Stamp, Three Ways post. This week I’m sharing three cards using the AMAZING Let Love Grow Stamp Set. This set is incredibly versatile and who doesn’t love a good succulent image for all occasion card making. I don’t know if I was in an elegant mood or a spooky mood with my color choice of only Black and White this week. Let’s call it elegant-spooky for all those October birthday friends out there.

All of the cards, have a heavy dose of embossing powder and my heat gun received a workout this week! The supplies this week included: Embossing powder in black and white, Rock Candy, Nuvo Crystal Drops in Ebony Black, Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink, WOW Clear Embossing Powder and the Let Love Grow stamp set and matching dies.

Happy Birthday: Black and White Background

The large succulent image looks amazing as a stamped background. I love it and it only took a few steps to complete:

  1. Apply anti-static powder to white card stock.
  2. Stamp image with Versamark Ink.
  3. Apply black embossing powder to stamped image.
  4. Carefully, heat set embossing powder with heat gun.
  5. Repeat steps 1-4 until background is complete.
  6. For the Happy Birthday Sentiment: Stamp, Emboss and Die Cut.
  7. For extra dimension and pop, I added Rock Candy and Nuvo Crystal Drops in Ebony Black.

Happy Birthday: Partial Background

This time I reversed the color combination and applied white embossing powder to black card stock. At first, I was going to stamp the entire background like before but after seeing the first three stamped images, I decided against the full background. The succulent image is such a beautiful focal point! I added the Happy Birthday sentiment slightly below the images and added Rock Candy embellishments and tiny dots of Ebony Black Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Happy Birthday: Little Card with Elegance

As I was making the other two cards, I felt like I was neglecting the smaller images. I love cards in all different shape and sizes; I especially like small square cards to add to packages and gift bags. The final card size is 4×4. To create this card, I did not use any embossing powder! Instead, I stamped all the images with Verafine Clair Nocturne Ink and added WOW Clear Embossing Powder to the images. Then I heat the set the powder with my heat gun. It looks almost identical to using black embossing powder. I have to say: If you haven’t tried the Versafine Clair Inks; they are amazing and the embossing factor just takes the ink to a whole new level for me.
