Just Add Sprinkles! A Trio of Birthday Cards
Hello! Thanks so much for stopping by! Today I have there cards to share with you, all featuring the brand new Just Add Sprinkles 4×8 stamp set and coordinating products! These adorable birthday bears stole my heart, and I am sure they will steal yours too! I will link all products used for all three cards at the bottom of the post as well for easy shopping.
Here is my first card. I did an A2 size card using one of the bears as a focal point, colored with Copic markers. I did a no-line coloring technique on this card for the bear and the cupcake, initially stamping the images in Ink on 3 Fadeout ink. Then I used the Sprinkles letterpress die with some glimmer foil and created a super sparkly background! I love how versatile letterpress dies are! You can use them for letterpress, foiling, or even dry embossing! I grabbed the new Simply Sentimental – Sprinkles coordinating die set for the large word die and then die cut my sub-sentiment with the brand new Simply Sentimental Strips die! I swear the strips die will be the set you never knew you needed until you have it in your hands!! I LOVE how easy it is to size up sentiment strips to go on my cards and how clean and finished the edges look.
For my second card I did an A2 card with a soft rainbow watercolor background I made with ink smooshing some Ink on 3 Atelier inks onto watercolor paper. It makes for a striking background, as well as a beginner technique for the watercolor look. I used another Copic colored bear and the Sprinkles word dies again. I heat embossed my sub-sentiment onto yet another sentiment strip from the Simply Sentimental strips die!
My last card I stepped out of my comfort zone of Copic markers and reached for my colored pencils! I once again did a no line technique for this image and was pleasantly surprised with my outcome! Sometimes you just need to reach for something different to get the creative flow back on track. I kept it simple and stamped my sentiment from Simply Sentimental Birthday stamp set using Memento Sand ink–I really wanted the focus to stay on the image so I kept the ink soft.
