Hello Crafty Friends! Davina here with Trinity Stamps to announce the June Crafty Troop Challenge #4. Last month out sherbet hued Rainbow challenge was full of fun, and Using a random number generator I selected the May winner. Congratulations to Mary Ellen Driggs. The June Crafty Troop Challenge is all about Birthdays! We are celebrating Trinity Stamp’s second birthday all month long, and we want to see your birthday creations. So whether it’s a birthday card, gift tag, party decor, or a scrapbook page about your dogs birthday, get out your Trinity supplies and get inky!
The card I’m sharing today is made with so much love and so much Trinity Stamps goodness. I used my beloved Slimline Stitched Card Panels (we had them first 😉) to cut a few layering panels. Using the middle sized die I cut a piece of Bristol Smooth Cardstock and a piece of bright lime green card. I had a piece of random scrap aqua that cut as well, even though it wasn’t large enough for a whole panel, it would give me plenty of room for the water . I did the same with a tiny piece of the green for the tiny grass at the bottom. Using the stitched cloud dies from the newer Wonky Stitched Wilderness, I added some clouds to my sky portion, then inked the sky with Soeckled Egg & Faded Jeans. I used some grass and water wave dies on my colored cardstock, then inked the edges with Mowed Lawn, and Mermaid Lagoon.
After splattering with clean water, white Zig Kuretake ink, and glittery Perfect Pearls, I got to work on my images. I like to use a ton of images… really… a lot. I knew I would be using a lot, so I stamped them all out and die cut them, before coloring. Just in case they wouldn’t all fit (They didn’t all fit). Then I copic colored with lots of yummy colors, and added white highlights. The stamps sets used we’re all sets that I illustrated and called Hugs & Squishes , Let the a Good Times Roll, and Unbelievable.
I glued down my two tallest grass layers first, before adding my short grass on top of the water layer, then adhering that with foam tape. Then I glued down my images, using a variety of glues, making sure to leave room up top for my sentiment. I layered my birthday sentiment on top of fun foam that I die cut, and love how it makes it level with my popped up water layer. I added a little razzle dazzle with the addition of some sparkly Iridescent Rainbow Jewels. I finished this off by mounting it all onto some bubblegum pink striped paper, then to my cardbase
I’m hoping this party of a card inspires you to create some birthday magic. We would love for you to share your creativity by linking up your projects at the end of this post using the InLinkz button (don’t be discouraged if your device wants you to log into google first). Your project, card or journal page should feature Trinity Stamps Products as the main focus, and will run through the end of the month until June 30th and 11:59 pm.
For each monthly challenge I will use a random number generator to select an eligible entry to receive a $15 gift certificate to the Trinity Stamps shop. We will also share some of you great creations on Instagram. Let’s share the news and have fun! Please make sure you are linking your own original and new projects to to the challenge.
