Joyeux Noel: One Stamp Three Ways with Designer Emily M!

Hi Friends and Happy Monday! Hope you had a wonderful weekend! Today, I have three silver and gold faux-foil cards using the gorgeous Joyeux Noel 4×6 Stamp Set and the matching Noel Word Die Set

All of my cards today, used silver or gold foil cardstock that I found at my local craft store in the holiday section. I’ve never actually done any real foiling but love that this card stock gives a similar feel. Along with the silver/gold card stock, I also used gold and silver embossing powders to add a faux-foil feel.

For my first card, I used a round star metal die from Ellen Hutson’s Essentials by Ellen line as my background element. After die cutting the circle of stars on a white card panel, I adhered the card panel to a piece of gold foil cardstock. Then I stamped, colored and fussy cut the reindeer. For a little extra sparkle, I added some diamond stickles to his scarf. Then I adhered the reindeer to the center of circle of stars with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink and then added some beautiful blue rhinestones.

For my second card, I started with a navy blue card panel and die cut a small square that would fit the Joyeux Noel square sentiment. Then I progressively stamped and heat embossed the snowflakes and star images using VersaMark and silver and gold embossing powders. I heat embossed the Joyeux Noel sentiment with gold embossing powder to a square piece of white card stock and adhered it behind the square die cut on the embossed card panel. To finish the card, I adhered it to silver foil and a white card base. For extra pop, I added drops of diamond stickles and a scattering of stars from my favorite star embellishment mix called Cassiopeia. I have been using this star mix on almost every holiday card that I have created this season…LOVE!!!

For my last card, I wanted to use the Joyeux Noel stamp set with the Noel Word Die that was in the last release. This clean and simple card was a quick card that you could easily mass produce.

  1. Die cut the shadow word die from gold foil cardstock. Die cut the skinny word die from blue sparkle/glitter cardstock and adhere together.
  2. Stamp and heat emboss several stars with VersaMark and gold embossing powder so that the stars shine around the Noel word die.
  3. Adhered Noel to the card, add some of the lovely Cassiopeia star mix with Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.
  4. Finish the card, by adhering the card panel to gold foil cardstock. For a little extra pop, add little dots of diamond Stickles.

So there we are friends! Three faux-foil cards for the holidays using the beautiful Joyeux Noel Stamp Set and Matching Noel Word Die. I hope you enjoyed my cards today and it inspires you to use your supplies in fun new ways.

Big Paper Hugs!
