I Love You Like Gnome Other

Hello, Trinity friends!! Valentine’s Day will be here before we know it…do you have your cards finished yet? The latest Sending Smooches Release has some adorable gnomes that are perfect for for Valentine’s Day or anytime you want to let someone know that they are loved!! I’ve combined several of the new products for my sweet card today!!

Let’s get started!!

Usually, I stamp and color my images before I work on the background. However, this time I wanted my images to match the ink on my stenciled background, so I worked on it first. I used Blending Buddy Brushes to blend InkOn3 Sweet Petunia Pink and Goddess Green inks onto white cardstock through the Bed of Roses Stencil Set. Isn’t this the prettiest pattern?

Next, I stamped the sweet gnomes from the Sending Smooches and There’s Gnome One Like You onto white cardstock with InkOn3 Blackout Ink. I chose Copic markers to match my background and colored them in.

I white heat embossed the sentiment, from There’s Gnome One Like You, onto pink cardstock and cut it out with the Coordinating Die, along with the gnome. The other gnome was cut out with the Sending Smooches Dies. I also die-cut the Slimline Tall Heart Trio from white cardstock. The stenciled panel was trimmed down to slimline size. I realized that the background was a little too bright for my liking and I wanted to tone it down a bit to let the gnomes be the focus, so I trimmed a panel of vellum to slimline size also.

Then all I had to do was assemble everything! The vellum was adhered behind the Tall Heart Trio die-cut, then to the stenciled rose panel, before adhering it to a slimline cardbase. The gnomes and sentiment were popped up with foam tape.

A few Double Bubble Jelly Drop Heart Embellishments were the perfect finishing touch!!

I just LOVE the hot pink and lime green color combo!!

Thanks so much for dropping by today!! Have a wonderful weekend and I’ll see you soon!!
