Hello Summer
Hello crafty friends! Silvia’s here with you today to celebrate Summer with this fun card.
I started cutting a panel from white cardstock and I ink blended it on top with antique linen, tea dye and vintage photo Distress Oxide inks. I splattered with clean water, tone on tone inks and white and gold acrylic paints and I put it aside.
I cut two stripes always from white cardstock and I ink blended them with salvaged patina and peacock feathers Distress Oxide ink.
I splattered with water, tone on tone inks and white and gold acrylic paints and I let them dry.
I then torn them by hand and I heat embossed them with a sparkle white powder to recreate the sea foam.
I die cut all the pieces I needed to build up the shovel from colored textured cardstocks with the fantastic “Shovel and Pail Shaker” die set by Lynda Kanase.
I darkened all the pieces with kitsch flamingo Distress Oxide inks, I splattered with tone on tone acrylic paints and I put everything together with my favorite liquid glue called Crafty Gluefriend.
For the sentiment I cut the HELLO word with one of the die that you can find in the new “Sunshine” set and I put it on the card.
I added some heart baubles from the “Sepia Heart Baubles” embellishment mix here and there and that’s all.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you’ll enjoy the card as much as I do.
Have an amazing new week. Big hugs, Silvia.,
Fantastic idea to tear the paper and heat emboss the torn edge for the sea foam. Great card.
Thank you very much dear Cindy, I’m so glad you like it.
