Ilina here! I decided to take a break from Holiday card making and created a super fun and colorful card using the Simply Sentimental Hello stamp set and the coordinating dies. I love cutting my leftover cardstock scraps into strips instead tossing them away and then creating fun backgrounds.
That’s what I did for today’s card. I picked some of my scrap cardstock pieces and cut them in 1/2″ strips.
Next I used grid paper and covered it with double sided adhesive. Adhered the strips next to each other until all the adhesive was covered. You can also use card stock to adhere the strips, but printer or thinner paper works best if you are planning on die cutting shapes from it.
Die cut a rectangle using the Modern Embossed rectangles dies. I use repositionable tape to secure the die in place and make sure that I have edge that is parallel with the strips.
Next, I die cut 3 hello dies and stacked them up to add dimension. I also die cut additional rectangles from white cardstock and adhered them behind the stripped panel.
Stamped “crafty friend” on black card stock and embossed in white. Trimmed it to a strip. Adhered the die cut and sentiment unto the panel.
Adhered to a top folding white note card and added some Crystal Ball Dewdrop Baubles to add more interest.
Thank you so much for stopping by. Hope you have an amazing day!
