Happy Birthday Spring Chicken

Hello, friends and happy Thursday!! I hope you’re having a great week!! I have a birthday card to share with you today that is perfect for someone with a little sense of humor!!

I began by stamping the images from the Spring Chicken Stamp Set onto white cardstock with InkOn3 Blackout Ink. I colored them with Copic markers, then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out.

Next, I die-cut a panel of white cardstock with the grass die in The Great Outdoors Borders and Builders Die Set. I blended Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness onto the panel with Blending Buddy Brushes, then splattered it with diluted ink.

I used another Blending Buddy to blend Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide onto another panel of white cardstock using the Puffy Cloud Layers Stencil. I used the second largest die in the Clean Cut Layers: A2 Rectangle Set A Die Set to die-cut it, along with the grass layer.

I die-cut the largest die in the Clean Cut Layers: Rectangle Set A Die Set from a panel of red cardstock and adhered it to a white card base with liquid glue. The cloud and grass layers were adhered, also using liquid glue.

The sentiment and heart, also from the Spring Chicken Stamp Set, were stamped with Versafine Onyx Black and red ink, then cut out with their Coordinating Dies.

The chicken coop was adhered to the background with liquid glue and all of the other die-cuts were popped up with foam adhesive strips. I added some highlights with a white gel pen and this card was finished.

Thanks so much for dropping by today!! Have a wonderful Thursday!!

Brenda
